First Audition:
Carolynne's first audition was for the role of lead singer
in the pop group S Club 7 when she 16!! She got down to
the last two, it was between her and Jo O'meara, who got
the part in the band. Simon Fuller thought Carolynne was
to "girl next door and shy" for the band!!
Biography:
Carolynne Sarah Good was born in Bramley, Leeds on the
5th August 1980. Her sister Jaqueline was born three years
later.
Carolynne didn't enjoy school as she was a victim of bullying.
She now wants to help others who are bullied too.
She attented Intake High school arts college in Leeds. She
always knew she wanted to be a singer from an early age.
Carolynne lived with her parents Mick and Joy and her sister
Jaqueline until she was 17. She then moved to London to
pursue her music career. She commuted back to Leeds every
weekend though.
Carolynne wrote a song for her ex boyfriends band A1. The
song is called " I'll take the tears". She started
writing it about Ben, but then as that relationship started
to break down she was actually writing it about someone
else.....ooer! :) Ben didn't know that until Caz said it
on Fame Academy...oops!
Carolynne also worked as a dancer in a club called "The
Birdcage" in Leeds.. Her friend Lucy-Jo from Corrie
also worked there!
Carolynne also joined a band called " Word on the street".
After they didn't have much success Carolynne joined a group
called "Blessed" which consisted of her and her
friend Simon who produced some songs for her old band Word
On The Street. The name "Blessed" was changed
to "Redstone". Despite being managed by Brilliant!
(Nick Godwyn and Nicky Chapman) they didn't have any great
sucess.
Carolynne sang backing vocals on Echobass: 'You are the
Weakest Link', a dance remix featuring Anne Robinson which
wasn't a huge hit but did OK in clubs. You can get this
from BBC Worldwide.
In December 2002 Carolynne was signed to BMG record company
as a songwriter!
In 2003 Carolynne auditioned for the talent show "Fame
Academy" and won a place amoung the 13 students. She
got the chance to perform in places such as Covent Garden
in London, the NEC in Birmingham and in the "Trafford
Centre". Carolynne made some close friends during her
time in the Academy those including Alex Parks and Louise
Griffiths.
Carolynne got through to the final show and came third!
A great achievement which she hopes will help her on her
way to stardom
