09:32 Carolynne's hot date...
Yesterday was a momentous day for our Carolynne. She was
crowned Lawn Darts champ and she'd got a very hot date indeed,
thanks to BBC3.
Like any gal getting ready for a first date, Carolynne
spent ages fussing with her hair, painting her nails, reapplying
lippy and fretting as girl pal Alex danced about the bedroom.
After over an hour of prep, Caz was finally ready, and
proceeded to the dining room to wait for her date.
"This is embarrassing," she muttered as she paced
the room. Would she be stood up? Not a chance! After a couple
of minutes a cry of "Hello? What's going on here?"
and lots of laughter preceded the arrival of the date -
none other than actor Paul Danan, best known for his role
as Sol in Hollyoaks!
"How are you?" the handsome chap asked, shaking
a startled-looking Carolynne's hand. "I'm Paul - alright
sexy, you look lovely," he beamed.
Barely giving the Shania fan a chance to register what
was happening, Paul instructed, "Let's chill and drink
some champagne, and get a bit drunk," before he ran
frantically around the table, opening bottles and jigging
about nervously.
"Do you like my house?" Caz asked, to giggling
from Paul, who twittered, "This is mental, this is
weird."
Initial nerves over, the pair sat down to drink, eat and
chat, and there were certainly no awkward silences. Paul
explained about the "audition" process that won
him the date, including his interview with The Academy boys.
"I had to do a few role-plays, one where [Alistair]
pretended to be your dad," he snickered.
Other conversational topics included music, films, 80s
dance supremos Five Star, music festivals and Ground Force!
Barely pausing to eat, the couple nattered on, with Paul
suggesting they "check out Glastonbury together,"
and admitting he "really wanted" to meet Carolynne
after spotting her at a live show... Ahhh.
As the night wore on and more champers was put away, things
got a little more, ahem, intimate. At one point Carolynne
leaned over the table and gave Paul a quick peck on the
cheek, then he reached over to touch her leg... things were
hotting up, indeed!
Cheeky Paul then asked Caz if there were cameras in The
Academy toilets, evidently wanting to ask her in to the
lavatory for a more private "cuddle", but our
Caz wasn't impressed and told him there were cameras everywhere...
By the end of the evening the lovebirds were cozied up
on the sofa, chatting away, until the tannoy announced it
was time Caz had to leave. "Oh no!" Paul complained,
before leaning over and leering, "Give us a kiss..."
and the two shared a lingering kiss.
"I'll catch up with you soon," Caz said, while
Paul held her hand and whispered, "I hope so".
The pair had another kiss before saying goodbye. Paul wandered
off and Carolynne ran up the stairs to her pals.
"How was he... it?" Al shouted as she ran into
the corridor. "Did we pick well?" James grinned.
"It was very, very good, thank you," Caz replied
coyly.
Hmm - is love in the air?
